You can play without an account. This policy explains what stays in your browser, what we save to run the game, and the choices you have.
This policy covers Gembop at gembop.games. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@gembop.games.
Game progress and browser storage
Your browser stores game progress, unfinished puzzles, sound and appearance settings, and cookie preferences. Clearing browser data can remove these saves and sign you out.
We also save gameplay information needed to maintain and recover progress, including for guests. This includes completed puzzles, scores, play activity and completion times. Signing in lets you keep completed progress across devices. Unfinished puzzles stay on the device where you began them. Scores are personal records, not a public leaderboard.
Essential cookies and browser storage support saves, sign-in and security. These are separate from your optional analytics choice.
Accounts
If you create an account, we process your email, account identifier, profile information you provide and sign-in information. Our sign-in provider handles your credentials. Signing in with Google does not give us access to your Gmail messages or browsing history. Keep me signed in lets you choose whether to stay signed in after closing your browser.
Purchases and support
Our payment provider handles checkout and payment details. We keep purchase records, including the product, amount, transaction references, refunds and access status, to provide and restore purchases. We do not store full card numbers. If you contact support, we receive your email and the information you include. Do not send passwords or full card details.
Analytics and cookie choices
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and use of the game. It processes analytics cookies, browser/device information and network request information. We do not send your email, account identifier, saved puzzles or payment details to Analytics, or use it for personalized advertising.
In the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, and when your region cannot be determined, Analytics stays off until you choose Accept analytics. Elsewhere it may load unless you decline. Only essential keeps analytics off without limiting play, sign-in or purchases. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also keep it off.
Use Cookie settings in the footer or game menu to change your choice. Choices are remembered on this browser for 180 days. Withdrawing stops future collection and clears our analytics cookies; it does not delete information already received by Google. We do not currently show third-party ads. We will update this policy and the relevant choices before introducing them.
Service providers and security
We use trusted providers to deliver and protect Gembop. These include Google for sign-in and analytics, Stripe for payments, and Cloudflare for hosting and security. They may process technical information such as IP addresses and browser details, and process information outside your country under the safeguards described in their policies. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but cannot promise absolute security.
We use information to provide the game and purchases, respond to support requests, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, these purposes rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting it, legal obligations, and consent for analytics where required. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
Account progress and purchase records are kept while your account remains active. Guest saves held by us expire after 30 days of inactivity; browser saves remain until you or your browser remove them. Support messages are kept as needed to resolve requests and related disputes or legal requirements. Providers retain logs, analytics and payment records under their own retention settings and legal obligations.
You can delete your account from Your account. This removes your account, linked progress and purchase access. We retain a limited record to honor your deletion request and prevent misuse. Separate guest saves and browser copies on other devices are not cleared. Deletion does not issue a refund or transfer purchases, and payment records may be retained by the payment provider.
Your rights and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, restrict its use, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent through Cookie settings. Contact contact@gembop.games for other requests; we may need to verify you own the account. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children's information
Gembop is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Do not include the child's password or payment details.
Changes to this policy
We will update the date above when this policy changes. For material changes, we will provide an appropriate notice and request a new choice where required, rather than treating continued play as analytics consent.
